Mattis regarding the Border Troops "We don't do stunts"

Man i really hope Trumps dumb ass doesnt run this guy out. Hes the only one in the admin that actually loves this country.
How the hell is Trump going to run this guy out because he actually wants to use the military for what it should be used for.......defending our country here at home. Instead of some shit hole thousands of miles away.

Well theres been some rumrs swelling lately between the two. i wasnt saying this was gonna drive him out, but there appears to be a rift between the two.
I hope there is a US Troop from the Pacific Ocean to the Gulf Coast manning a 50 cal every 300M with orders to not let anyone get within 500M of the border.
Perhaps Mr Mattis does not do stunts, but unless the troops have orders to use lethal force to close the border then they will not be able to stop people. There are not enough troops being sent to close the border by holding hands and singing.

Pull all of our Troops out of Europe and put them on the Northern and Southern borders doing patrol shit 24/7.
Activity like that is what I went in the military for but unfortunately in my infantry experience all I did was field day, clean rifles, and scrub HumVs at the motor pool.

My guess is that is the “military readiness train” they move around the country on drills. I’ve seen it many times roll through Cheyenne, they rarely if ever unload the train. I highly doubt it will be unloaded by the border.
The main reason for MIL to the boarder is you remove control from Leftist State Governors who control the NG.

I have 19 years in the military, 12 of which are guard. I have a handful of buddies that have volunteered for assisting BP on the southern border. Their response after getting back was it was a complete waste of time and their hands were so tied (posse comitatus) that it was pointless they were there. They would be stuck in the middle of bum F desert with a radio and call shit it that no one could respond too. Waste of manpower, money, and time to appease Trumps mindless supporters. Beef up BP who has training to do this job and fix current immigration policies instead of wasting U.S assets.

I agree in wanting .mil to concentrate on blowing shit up and killing people, not law enforcement, but protection of the border is certainly in the purview of the mil.

The Posse Commitatus I do not believe has ever been tested Constitutionally. I believe it would fail. The Constitution sets the Presidents powers not Congress. No one has ever needed to test it. Congress only has the power of the purse over the Pres.

1. Troops will be allowed to transport Border Patrol agents.
2. Provide Medical care.
3. Setup fence and barriers.
4. Cannot even detain an illegal once they cross the border.

I'm fine with DoD providing ISR and logistical support to CBP and ICE but the situation is far from the law enforcement agencies not being able to maintain public order.The fact of the matter is the President's power is pretty much absolute. We don't like to think about that but it's true. Obama's actions proved that, as have as have the actions of other Presidents. If a president is doing what he believes has to be done to protect the Country. He can only be stopped with the vote.

I would not be surprised if the Mexican government realized that if they bused these invaders to the border, it was going to generate an immediate shutdown of the border & reprisals from our government in ways they may not like.
They are probably hedging their bets that if they slow walk the invaders & make most of them basically hoof it on foot, there is a good chance a lot of them will head back home or give up. Then those that don't the Mexicans have time to see how the election shakes out and either the Democrats will be demanding they all be let in, or the Mexicans have a bit of time to negotiate with Trump over how not to start a mini war over it.

I want the land and natural resources to pay for the dumping of a third of their population in my country illegally, a debt needs to be paid, and not in pesos, in land and natural resources. We need room for all the illegals we have taken in to date.

I think the USA should be bigger, and parts of MX look pretty appealing, both from an urban frontier perspective, and from a logistics/resource perspective. If we could nab 300 miles inside the border of MX, we could even deny Cali their coveted illegals.
Basically, drop that MX border, add in some nice 90* angles, and call all of that New Texas. Doesn't make up for what MX has done to us, but definitely shakes things up a bit and gives us an opportunity to eliminate some of the bad hombres Mexico is beholden to.

Guy has been in a pickle the last two years as part of his concerns with the 4th would be Ed Snowden revelations about what NSA is doing to us and he believes in a deep state.
Thing is his idea of the deep state is that it's some sort of conservative cabal.
I've been wrapping him in pretzels mentally because the obvious current liberal coup and the liberal adoption of technology to destroy our political process doesn't jive with his current mental wiring.
