I know both are 700 footprints, but can anyone shed some light on if a Mausingfield will work/look ok in an Impact 737 inlet? I’m specifically looking at a Foundation Centurion and I am too impatient to custom order one specifically for a Mausingfield.

Thanks

Mausingfield ejection port location is slightly different from an M700. Legacy versions also have a side bolt release/ejector assembly that requires the stock to be fitted if the action radius sits at the showline. The bolt handle inlet on stocks meant for a 700 is also typically very different from what the Mausingfield needs/wants. It has a straight handle that runs perpendicular to the bolt body. In most instances, they'll work, but the presentation (IMO) leaves a bit to be desired.

I threw this assembly together quick to illustrate what I'm trying to describe. Hope it helps. The "ghosted" geometry is a Gen I Mausingfield. The solid is the M700. Note that later Mausingfields use a different style bolt release that avoids the stock work I described. The port geometry, however, is still different.

C.

I ordered my foundation for an Archimedes action and received it way faster then expected! Foundation always under promises and over delivers!!!
