I just discovered the Maven RS 1.2 ... 2.5-15x44 ... And I am hoping to hear from others who may own one.

I have been considering the Leupold MK5 3.6-18 ... But the Maven looks quite interesting to me.

It will be mounted on a Seekins SP10 in 308 ... primarily just for range/target fun ... I do not compete.

Wondering about glass quality and eye-box ... also wondering about the tracking/turrets.

Just general thoughts from the few who may have experience with this scope.

Thanks

The Maven is the Rokslide poster child. They all have raging stiffys over them. You can read pages of reviews over there lol.

The scope does check quite a few boxes though. I'm intrigued by uts feature and price point.

A little weird, isn't it? I was intrigued enough to buy one with their veteran discount for my NRL Hunter build, and although I haven't gotten it to the field, I've found nothing to complain about just messing around with it. Glass is good, turrets are good, reticle is usable as a duplex at 2.5, and center dot and mil hashes at about 4.5x for me. Do wish it had a locking elevation turret, but not a deal breaker for me.

I have one. I use it for a hunting scope and love it for that use case. The reticle is actually usable throughout the mag range and has a good field of view and a generous eyebox. For the price point it’s a great scope in my experience. I think I’ve shot 11 or 12 animals with it and never had anything to complain about. The turrets aren’t as good as the mk5 turrets but it’s in a totally different price point. It has a basic zero stop that functions and has tactile clicks but nothing to write home about. I have not experienced any tracking issues.

I have one. On a 223 now but will probably work it's way to my 6.5prc for spring bear season. Really good glass, tracks good, usable reticle across entire magnification range. One of the best FFP MIL reticles on the market currently for hunting.

It reminds me a lot of the Bushnell LRHS except it's not ugly, doesn't say Bushnell on it (problem for some), lower profile windage cap and better reticle.

The turrets are very tactile but somewhat easy to spin. Some users have complained they are too easy to spin and can be rotated when strapped to a backpack.

Same here on several points. Bought one using mil discount. Probably my favorite reticle. It is a useful reticle for the full range 2.5-15x. I’m not a glass expert, but I compared it to several $1200-$1800 scopes. Image looks as good or better than all of them. At 15x it was brighter in low light than the rest despite only being 44mm compared to 50mm for some others. Illumination is a little weak in daylight, but I’m not planning to run and gun it on AR’s. It has forced me to look at my other scopes and ask “is this is as good as the Maven for this price?”

My kid is using one for NRL22 and it’s been outstanding IMO. She also shot a hunter match out to 950 with it, it checks a lot of boxes. Tracking has been perfect, it’s been dialed a bunch in a lot of matches and is a solid scope IMO. Personally I like 1/2mil reticles.

This is how I feel too. I am not one to let a pesky little thing like money keep me from what I want on my rifles and I have two of these on my two primary hunting rifles. One was used almost exclusively this past season and there isn't anything you could give me that would make me swap them out. Its a touch long and a touch heavy, but every single other box is checked very effectively, primarily the reticle. It has no peer as a FFP hunting scope that's reticle can be seen in eastern thick woods in waning light at 2.5x without illum and can also provide wind holds and reliable dialing for wide open western hunting. Did both with is this past fall, a lot. Someone will inevitably come out with a smaller, lighter, just as reliable FFP hunting scope but if the reticle isn't as good or better it won't be enough to make me swap.
