This unit looks like it really does outclass the L3 ATPIAL-C and the Steiner DBAL A3/4, and I was tempted to be an early adopter.....

......but just a one year warranty on a $2,500.00 unit? This is totally lame. So I will sit on the fence.

If B.E. Myers really wants to sell this unit to civilians, they should get behind this product with a better warranty, no?

FWIW, the L3 unit has a 5 year warranty, and years 6-10 are covered for $80.00. Steiner laser warranty is two years, which seems poor, but twice as good as the MAWL.

The MAWL-C1+ absolutely outclasses other Class I options out there, and some would argue that it even outclasses many IIIb Restricted units, at least for illumination, though you will obviously lack the high powered aiming laser setting.

As for warranty... let me put it this way, stated, public warranties are usually quite conservative. B. E. Meyers is a stand up company, and I would bet that they would take care as best they could regardless of warranty period if you were ever to have an issue.

Order placed with you guys yesterday. I know from experience that TNVC is a stand up company, so I'm putting some faith in that, as B.E. Meyers says that you, as their dealer, is the first contact for service - warranty or not - should that ever be needed.

Yeah - some of these warranties.

Like laser rangefinder warranties - they must think their products are pretty sketchy to put a 1 year cap on it.

i sometimes wonder if the 1 year part is a) just something that seemed smart because who gives a shit about the warranty or b) a numbers driven analysis based on the fact that 1 year, 3 months later 90% of our stuff is broken...

a) is disappointing and b) is terrifying.
