OK guys, my 6 creedmoor should be done at GAP any day now. How far do you feel I can take this out to? I ran the numbers on JBM and it has me above 1.2 mach at 1300. Any reason I can't take this out to 1 mile? I have a 300 win mag that I have taken out to a mile with no problem. I know its not an ideal round but would be cool to say I did it with a 6mm.

I don't own a 6mm but I'm sure it can make it out to one mile. Spotting misses in the dirt with those light weight bullets may be hard. But the round should easily travel that far. I wouldn't recommend trying to take any game at that distance. And, congrats on the GAP headed your way. What are the specs?

Is it just coincidence that your rifle specs are nearly identical to someone else's?

Jaygorski's rifle pretty close.. same barrel length slightly diff contour HV same scope and action..i have this caliber too but i dont know if want to push it that far.. maybe 1200yd at most.. otherwise i let my saum take care the rest... goodluck hearing plate in a mile with that tiny bullet..

How do you guys think the 105s do transonic and subsonic? I know with .308 168s seem to go all tumbly while 175s seem to retain some accuracy. I have no idea if that is purely a function of mass or if ballistic coefficient has a large effect.

Thats what i was thinkinh with those light bullets and splash. Its a trued remington 700, 28' bartelin MTU 1-7.7 5R, pillar bedded in a manners t4a with badger dbm, CG trigger and a sightron 8-32 on top!

So your rifle is going to look like mine then? Um, good choice, btw.

I hit a mile plate once out of five rounds. I'm confident I would have hit it more but my elevation was way off. Kestrel ATRAG saying one thing, Ballistic FTE saying another. I'm running 105 Hybrids at 3080.

Several guys connected at a mile During the Surefire Match Mike Voight put on in the mountains of California. it was a 18x24" at 1 mile. several 6 creedmoors hit it.

It would not be my first choice for shooting at a mile all the time but it will make it there consistently.

That's what I was referring to in my post. There were only like 5 impacts total out of 30 some odd competitors. It took me 16.8 mils if I remember correctly.
