After trying to find good pictures of the gear I am looking into purchasing I realized I might as well help the problem get better....if we could possibly get a "Review Forum" going I think that would help immensly in an internet world where a website shows 3-4 pictures of an item without really showing what it can hold or any size relation....so you basicly have to buy it and pay for shipping to find out if it will work for you.
So here is a little picture review of my Maxpedetion Proteus:
I bought this used off of the Hide so no packagine and no wear on the item either, all dirt/fraying has happened from me. While not blatently destructive with my gear I don't baby it....that's why we spend the big bucks on gear...so that we don't have to baby it. Not that I use it in a combat situation but through the few matches I have shot in the Maxpedetion has worked well.

I use the carry handle to attatch to the drag handle of my Camelback Delta 5 vest, during transport. Works well and is a quick release setup.
Once I am shooting in the match, I just use the belt to carry the pack like a fanny pack in front and just unbuckle it at the next stage rather than mount on my back.
I just leave the area below the drag handle empty.
It holds 1 AICS S/A 10rd mags on each end pouch.
The front pocket is a single zipper pull and carrys a bit o chit! Room for Mildot Master, small book, few rounds, flashlight.
I like the main compartment for holding extra rounds during a match...normally in siploc baggies of 20 rounds, and the bag is a Triad, as well as a folded Boonie. Boonie and extra rounds won't both fit. The other nice thing about this main pocket is the mesh in back, I use that to hold the spent cases. Keeps them seperated from the live rounds untill I can unload them and works well since I normally have the Triad Bag out for shooting so I can easily load the spent cases.
The rear pannel has Molle on it but I like the bag to be able to be quickly removed. The belt works fine but the bag is easily overloaded for the stiffness of the belt, nice that it hides very well and when out the back pannel has velcro to keep the belt storage chamber closed.
Ran out of time before work but I will edit this later!!
