A thought crossed my mind yesterday. Has anyone painted or engraved the markings on the USMC NCO sword on their barrel? I think that would be a pretty sweet looking tube.

I've never seen it, but you're right, that would be REALLY sweet. If you don't do it, let me know and I may gladly steal that idea for this year's rifle-build, especially since I'm looking at doing an M40-ish rifle this year.
By all means, help yourself. I won't be able to for another year or so. Maybe get ahold of the Dimensions dude, the one that does the really sweet airbrushing. Although laser engraving would look good too.
Yeah, I was running through the mental list of guys on here doing the custom work, 30CalSniper, Shortbus, ARP, Dimensions, and I'm sure some I missed. The paint/cerakote on this one is going to be fairly basic (I'm not a flames and skulls guy) but the addition of the NCO sword engraving either on the barrel or on the fore end would be slick.
yea on the sides would be really cool. I'm surprised that nobody has posted one up here like that.

No shit right? At least this time of year MY problems are on YOUR side of the mountain. In a few months YOUR problems will come back over here for fighting season. Why don't you jump on your donkey and I'll jump on my camel, an we'll meet up in Kabul for some hot Heinekens. That or we can just steal a couple of jingle trucks and head over to India and drink beer on the beach in Goa.
