So that could potentially be our next "First Lady"? Oh well, still hotter than Obama's wife.
While there are some this is more complex than a uniform.

Sometimes that intellect gets in the way of common sense. I got my ass chewed several times pointing out generals and officers stupidity, but in the end I was untouchable and earned meritorious promotions in spite of my questioning the intellectual ones.

I served 69/70 in RVN and for the most part hated the "Officers" that I knew had little to none as to training experience. ROTC etc. but they were there.
I had some fine Officers also and they were easy to tell apart from the others and I got along fine with them.

His “why” reeks of self promotion as he was already deeply involved in politics at the time, and mil service has been persistently abused as a path to political advancement. If you don't read the news much then yes I can understand you wouldn't realize that our 1A rights are in just as much danger as our 2A rights and the attack on them is gaining amazing traction that few seem to understand the ramifications of.
If you need first hand experience, just make sure you work for a large corporation, or a government entity or a school etc and start talking about having a personal religious or philosophical disagreement with the idea of homosexuality being a good option.

Reaper, I wear coveralls everyday. No one has seen me out of them except My Squaw, I do put on a clipon tie off my right collar point to honor those above me. Yup. The gays, women, and lesbians (never did understand why they didn’t just fall under the “gay” tag but whatever) definitely have targets on their backs from the trans movement.

I’m assuming this was directed at me. Dude I definitely don’t support him, I should have added that note in my edit. However I think I’ve become desensitized to the veteran community and it’s steadfast devotion towards embellishment. Maybe that’s why I’m so dismissive of it.
I used to get pissed off when I would run into a dude who would run his mouth about everything he supposedly did on his “deployment” only to find out that it was all bullshit. I was once tasked with reviewing resumes and conducting interviews of veteran applicants, which is what I think started to do it in for me. The final straw was probably security contractors. The biggest load of inflated bullshit being spewed per millisecond. The worst part is that it’s so rampant that they all feed off of it without realizing that they are all telling the same story.
