**History on MIRS**
REV A MIRS were primarily used on the MK13 MOD 0. Crane was frustrated that they couldn't quickly inventory the rifles as the MIRS made it difficult to read the Rem 700 serial #. McCann milled the last two round holes on the left side so the serial # was easier to read, thus the REV B was born. Most Rev B rails were used on Mod 3 rifles. Not many Mod 3 or Rev B rails were issued since the Mod 3 had a short life before the Mod 5 replaced it. MIRS REB B's were also used in the M24 program. A very cool piece of history!!
