I currently have a Bell and Carlson medalist A-5. I am seriously thinking of going to a McMillan A-5. Anyone who has handled both how is the verticle grip in comparison. I have smaller hands, do you feel the McMillan would be a better fit. I have no complaints about the B&C.

Re: McMillan A-5

I went from a B&C A5 to a MCM A5 and the grip is very similar. I have large hands and I couldn't tell the difference. The one thing I did notice was the MCM A5 is much, much lighter.

Re: McMillan A-5

Absolutely. I hated the forearm on the B&C. To me it was unsightly and I didn't like the flat bottom. My Harris bipod kept rotating no matter how tight I screwed it down. I got the MCM inlet for the KMW Loggerhead cheekpiece as well. It lets you adjust for height and you can adjust for offset from the centerline. Finally, I got one with flushcups installed which has been nice. You can quickly remove the sling if you want and carrying the rifle with a sling attached to the side is more comfortable.

lol. I know exactly what you mean with the bipod, drives me crazy. The one I'm looking at has the cheekpiece already on it and flush cups already installed. Good to hear you think so highly of it. Now I just gota get 100 posts so I can sell the B&C on here...lol
