Actually, we do inlet for the Tikka T3 rifles and have been doing so for a couple of months now. We didn't for quite a while until we got caught up a bit on our backlog of orders. Plus, we were not happy with the lack of a recoil lug on the action. Too many of the people who asked about them had bedded the original stocks and couldn't get factory lug out of the stocks.
We finally designed a steel recoil lug to put into the stocks and they are working out just fine. We can inlet the T-3's in any of the standard Sako stock designs such as the Sako Hunter, the Sako Classic and the Sako Varmint. In the tactical stocks we have versions of the A2, Adj. A3-5 and A5 that we can inlet for the T3's.
There are seven people in our office who talk to customers about orders, Myself, Ryan and Kelly are the "guys" and Eileen, Lynne, Heather and Colleen are the ladies. I have personally talked to everyone of them and no one who ever talked to a customer about a T3 ever told him to "get a real rifle". Colleen who is new and just learning said "what's a T3?" and Kelly just chuckled and said "you're kidding".
Those of you who have dealt with us for any of the last 35 years know we don't treat customers like this. We are quite proud of our customer service and our professional manner on the phones.
Personally, I think someone was having a bad dream or mixed us up with someone else he was talking to. Perhaps he can give me the name of the "guy" he talked to.

I was hoping somebody would point this out to you, personal vendor response says a lot.
From past experience, I can certainly say that McMillan CS has been nothing but good in my direction for 15 years. It's been about 3 years since I talked to any of you, however. Good to know that your position hasn't changed, even if a lot of industry transformation is going on.
Would not be surprised if something slips through the cracks, as it were, it happens in every company.
Also good to hear that you've recently decided to inlet for Tikka. They aren't perfect, but they are damn good guns.
