Mcree chassis question?

Am looking at getting a Mcree chassis.

Could one of you Mcree owners tell me if there is any pic rail machined out on the end/underside to mount an Atlas bipod, or does a person have to order a short rail to put on?

i can't tell from the photos on the web site, and Scott is awfully busy to answer my e-mails. So, I thought I'd ask here.

unfortunately it does not come with one, they have them you can add to your chassis for a fair price.

You can order a short rail , or a longer rail to screw to the bottom. It comes with a sling swivel to mount a Harris.

You will have to look under accessories at the Mcrees site and there he has a 7 & 11 slot rail that mounts in holes under the forearm for that Atlas bipod.

Thanks for the replies. I didn't want to order a rail if I didn't need to. Guess I'll add a short rail, along with a couple mags. Appreciate the help.

Another quick question for you guys running a stock pack on you Mcree - Are the Triad regular/small stock packs the same size as the stock pack sold by Mcree? I have a Triad now and if it will work it would save me from having to buy another. Input appreciated. Thanks.

I have the rail issue figured out. I also have a Triad stock pack on the rifle now - on the Savage accu-stock. If the Triad is sized similarly to the Mcree stock pack, I'll transfer it over. I just wanted to find out in advance from someone who has already "been there, done that". If needed, I'd order a Mcree stock pack when I order the chassis. Otherwise, if the Triad will work, I'll just use it and save some coin.

Without knowing the size of the Mcree stock pack, I'd say use your Triad first before ordering the mcress pack. I use the Triad large on my Mcree and it fits fine with more than enough strap left over to go much larger.
I think you'll be GTG with the Triad pack.
