Thank you again for the idea @atomic41 followed your idea tweaked it a little. With my Dewalt hand impact and a carefully calibrated eyecrometer i got it done. 
I'll get her taken apart and clean up the burrs and touch up the paint. The round knob is great! Makes it much easier to reach up and adjust while behind the rifle. Also not that much larger than stock. For me the extra little length just makes it easier to get a hold of but not so large that Im worried about it snagging like a lever.

Nice! I agree on those points, it works well. I see you drilled all the way through and drove a bolt through it, interesting idea.

Yeah when I drilled out the original threads I goofed and did something wrong. Didn't get the thread engagement like I wanted and the all thread wobbled a bit. So I drilled clean through then bored into the end where the original threads were at. In the end it left me with a very secure bolt engagement and the concenteicity was much better. Happy with the $5 project.
Changed my knob out. Was looking for something narrower but this works and no modification required.

I did the same thing, used a 1 1/2 in bolt, I actually did two as I had bought one for a pic rail as well. That version uses two bolts so it won't work. If anyone has an arca type that wants to upgrade their knob I have an extra like Flyfishers posted above.

I purchased a couple of GRND-Pods. One of them is from Brownells that will mount to the clamp of your choice and I much prefer the flexibility that option provides. I like the GRND-Pod though I've only used one of them on a gas gun and it works fine. I thought it would be lighter but didn't check / compare specs before I bought and its roughly the same weight as my Atlas. I have several MDT products - chassis / stocks, mags, and other items. Overall, I like what they are doing and their designs though I have one key criticism...

Seriously - the GRND-Pod I bought from Brownells had such sharp edges it cut through the package and got dinged up a bit. Run the parts through an appropriate vibratory tumbler with ceramic media and take some of these edges down a bit. This is really my only quality issue and its a big miss.

Wanting to upgrade the feet on mine. Looking for something more aggressive but still usable oncmany different surfaces. Just curious wwhatia the usual go to?
So, when I stumbled onto this thread, I thought "what are all of these guys talking about? The tension knob is fine." But, then I pulled the bipod out of the gun safe and was like "oh, no, no, no. we have to do something about that." So, off to Lowes I went. Down the drawer pull isle. Then, over to get a few 10-32 screws on the next isle. Finally, a 10-32 tap. Yeah, that's much better.
The more I played with the bipod on the rifle, the more the cant adjustment lever bothered me. Not that it is ineffective, but it just kind of dangles out in space. I might have occasion to stow the bipod legs to the rear, which requires the adjustment lever to be dangling more or less straight down from the rifle. On similarly equipped bipods, my preference is to have the lever all the way to the left when tight. This keeps it out of the way but easily accessible with my support hand. Alas, this would have the bipod flopping around if I stow the legs backwards.

I drilled and tapped it for 1/4-20 threads (just happened to have that tap from another project) and it works a treat. It is big enough to offer sufficient leverage to torque down the cant, without being otherwise obtrusive. The downside is that these knobs are heavy. Each knob weights 2.7 ounces, where the original hardware- combined- weighs only 0.75 oz.

It accepts Atlas Bipod Feet so it should accept the BT22 Atlas Leg Extensions.

Has anybody had problems with it mounting to an ARCA rail? I have the ARCA/RRS mount and an Area 419 ARCA rail on a Daniel Defense Delta 5 Pro. I put the bipod mount on the rail and with it fully tightened it still freely slides on the rail? Any suggestions? I've already sent one back and waited 2 months to receive a new one but I'm running in the same exact problem. @MDT_OFFICIAL @MDT_Josh

It works on my ar's with various arco rails, that's all I have it for so that's all I've put it on.
We had an early run of the GRND-POD clamps that came out on the high end of tolerance, however, all of those have been dealt with now and especially if you have already received a replacement! There is a chance that your Delta 5 ARCA is cut on the underside and below RRS Dovetail Standards as I don't believe they gauge their dovetails.
There are a few ways to fix this, however, before we start removing material I would try the GRND-POD on a different RRS Spec Dovetail if you could!

For those wondering about the Atlas leg extensions, yes they work. You’ll have to punch the pins out that are holding the feet, but then the Atlas extensions are a tight fit and the o-ring on them makes for a rattle free extension. In these pics I pushed the GRND pod feet into the extensions, which would work fine for a range trip but I will be getting some type of different foot with the ball detent to secure them. This is the Brownells version with the Area 419 clamp.
Mine tightens up initially but begins to slide forward under recoil. My 15lb 6.5 creed with a brake isn't exactly a big boomer. I'm running it on the KRG ARCA spigot mount, which one might assume to be in spec. Sigh.
Yeah I finally got my answer. Daniel Defense manufactures their own ARCA rail for the Delta 5 Pro build but Area 419 brands it still. The rail is out of spec and doesn’t work with the MDT clamp that comes with the GRND-POD so you either need a different rail or to buy the Area 419 clamp. Who would’ve thought.
Well that's a bummer. My tripod head has never had a problem with KRG's ARCA spec...Seems unwise to make an ARCA product that won't work with a large part of the market. I imagine there are a lot of people out there with KRG Bravos and XRAYs who might want to run a budget bipod.
My first KRG Arca spigot was out of spec (part of a bad batch, I think). I had constant issues with bipods sliding off the front of the spigot under recoil. If you measure yours and it's not in spec I bet KRG would take good care of you.
The challenge is that there is no actual standard spec for Arca rails. I had a good exchange with a guy from RRS on the topic and they would like to see better standardization but some companies do their own thing.

I mean that's not true as RRS has published the industry standard, which all manufacturers should be producing their dovetails to and gauging them pre/post coating. You can find all of their dimensions here: https://www.reallyrightstuff.com/patents
If all companies made their dovetails to this standard we would have no issues.

How recently was this rectified? This passed Aug-Nov I went back and forth with support for a bit they sent me out 3 different bipods and eventually a forend for my HNT 26 and it still wouldn't clamp tight. I eventually just bought a light weight Ckye Pod that does the trick
This has been an ongoing change over the last few months and we would have been initially working through it in the August-November timeframe. I am sorry to hear that you had that many issues with the GRND-Pod though!

Has anyone played around with the tension lever any? I would like a little more tension if possible. Just got the Brownells version and had to tighten up some fasteners but overall happy with it.

I can tighten mine down enough that it won’t cant. You can re position the lever by pulling it out
Yea it’s similar to a pod-loc where you can still reposition it. Even after that tightening down enough I feel like it is borderline breaking something its still fairly easy to rotate side to side.
weird. mine locks up pretty hard, like to the point if I try to cant the rifle it will lift a leg of the bipod. The rifle on it isn't very heavy though, prob like 10lbs
If I really man handle my rifle I can get it to cant with the cant lock “fully” engaged. But, then I have to ask myself “Self, how locked down does the bipod really need to be in order to keep you from screwing it up?” The answer is locked down enough that the rifle doesn’t flip over on its own accord and tip completely over. I can then make small corrections to the perpendicularity of the rifle using my position.
And, shooting from anything other than a table or solid floor (tile, concrete, wood, etc), the feet are going to dig in differently with every shot- requiring you to re-level anyway.
