It’s been building for awhile, with his “I’m embarrassed to be white“ belly button gazing as Afghanistan fell to the Taliban, along with a lot of other small shit he’s been pulling these past couple years, but I can finally say I’m actually embarrassed to admit I served under this man when he was a Brigade Commander in AFG.
I was a lowly Lt Col serving in the capacity of a NATO Liaison to the US forces at the time, but was billeted in a USAF post in RC East (later in RC South out of Kandahar). Remember briefing him on NATO air movements a number of times…he always seemed competant and clearly in command. He seemed like a typical Big Army guy who saw Air Power as just another form of fire, but was very sharp for all that.
Hell, he even signed my end of tour “thanks for being here” certificate (suitable for framing!) along with the Brit Air Chief representing NATO there in Kabul, and I actually had it put in a wall mounted shadow box along with some other memorabilia from that time and place…
I should be proud, so why do I now feel like it’s the same as having a signed letter from Benedict Arnold?
I just pulled it down off the wall and put it in storage today…pondering whether I should just burn it, or mail it back to him with a short note saying “shame on you General”… or maybe auction it off to raise $$ for the 13 Marines who lost their lives a couple weeks ago while acting as rear guard for our shameful withdrawal.

If what has been alleged about him is true, this can't be explained as an example of the Peter Principle. How do you turn so hard away from all the training and education an officer receives as well as the oaths he swore to uphold?
Potentially, Milley has been exposed as a rogue actor and he cannot be allowed to retain his position as chairman of the JCS or have any other position of responsibility until there has been a full investigation of his conduct. His phone line and computer access should be cut off RIGHT FUCKING NOW. Nobody should talk to him or consult with him on any matter of official government business. He should be refused access to any sensitive government facility. That none of this is happening is insane.

This is a difficult one. Typically, spin is trying to alter the framing of a story without intentionally stating false information. It's the medias was of creating a new word for what they do to avoid being called liars. You see, the definition of a lie is to intentionally mislead -- therefore spin is literally a lie. But that sounds much worse than the word spin, though they are the same thing.
So, while the media is lying by trying to frame this discussion in a way in which could potentially lead more people to see Milley as some kind of savior -- it's actually worse then that.
You see, the conversation Milley had with China was in October of 2020, not January of 2021.
I doubt it was the only conversation he has had with China in which he leaked classified information.
Anyway, I agree with your statement -- argue the language you are using is the language THEY created. And they created it specifically to soften their own wrongdoing. We see this from the left all the time, and the right (right being anything to the right of far left) -- we seem to follow along far too often.
We've got to be on our toes, 100% of the time, when dealing with the left. Their weapon of war is language and they're winning an awful lot of battles using it.
So, in short, they're lying. They are flat out lying, Milley's calls to China, in relation to this specific incident, started back in October of 2020 -- long before the 1/6 narrative even was a thing. Which, in itself, was another lie by the media. They used language and terminology with legal distinctions that were not based in fact in order to create an emotional response. It worked because the right, by the right here I mean Republican leadership, allowed it. Not only allowed it but took part in the lies, as they often do.
Imagine if Throroughly Modern Milley had done this to the dementia moron in the White House. The braying of the word treason would be on the lips of the stooge media night and day till his hanging.
