Maggie’s Memorial Day Weekend

Just wanted to share a touching moment I had with my young twins while visiting the wonderful city of New Orleans last July. Coming from So-Cal, we don't have many places like this. Anyway, as a former Marine, I just wanted to show some respect for the brave souls who paid the ultimate price.

I found this very humbling. The "circle of life" in action?

15,000+ brave souls. Rest in peace brothers.

If you were African [American] You go this type of headstone.

If you were an unknown soldier, you got a small concrete block with a number. It is hard to imagine someone's son, husband, father getting killed and buried without anyone known where you are/were and buried. Rest in peace brothers.
