Meopta MeoStar

Looking to purchase a pair of Meopta Meo star in either 10x32 or 10x42 HD. Does anyone have experience with them, from what I can see they have about 98% light transmission ....
Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Have not tried those- but Meopta measures transmission differently compared to f.e. Zeiss or Swarovski. Results are several percent better "than they should".
I would estimate 89-90% transmission for 10x42- and even it is bit optimistic. Thick prisms absorb light in all binos.

Best transmission binos I know are Zeiss Victory SF/HT series with 95%- thanks to Schott high transmission glass. Which Zeiss is using exclusively.

I have a pair of cabelas euros 12x50, made by meopta, they are awesome. go by a cabelas and check em out.
