I have a 20-45x70mm spotting scope. I have had it for several years. I don't use it that much and it really is a little much for me. It has a built in sunshade that actually telescopes out 2". Should I keep it, or should I get rid of it and use the money for another project?

Do you guys use any of their products and how do they stack up in your opinions?

Re: Meopta Spotting Scopes?

I only use it at the range when I sight in. I only use it a couple times of year. It is a meostar.

I have a cabelas spotter also, that is a good clear scope too. I think that it would work for what I use it for. I am thinking that I need to take them to the range and put them up side by side.

Re: Meopta Spotting Scopes?

I would think so. The Meostar IMO would trounce the Cabela's scope by a ways. But if either served your purpose and you didn't need the higher end scope. Getting more money for the former would suit puposes as well.

-good luck

Re: Meopta Spotting Scopes?

Well right after I wrote that, my buddy called and asked if I was interested in selling the Cabelas, so I guess I am gonna be forced to retain the Meopta..lol.

I bought the Meopta when I used to guide Elk hunters, but I don't to that anymore.

Thanks for the input.
