Metal Detecting

Re: Metal Detecting

I've got a MineLab GPExtreme....Love this thing!!!

It's backwards from most detectors, you hear the break in the signal vs hearing the signal rise..

This thing will dig an aluminum can 3 feet in the sandy beach...Found a 22 bullet at 12", dug up a pull tab in mint condition at the ocean at 2 feet...

I'm glad that you're defending the environment one pull tab at a time, but does it differentiate?

Yes but I have a steep learning curve. I can tell the sound on the signal but it takes practice, not like having a whites or garret where it tells you.

The thing is, I use the cheapo $200 one for the local area as it's lighter and I don't have to lug a motorcycle battery on my back.

Found anything? Yeah, a jar full of change, a silver promise ring, a few bullets...nothing that will pay for itself JUST YET....

I want to go to eastern washington and try out my dad's property, a meteorite hit about 1 mile away in the 1960's..
