I don't know why we're getting all riled up over this. Can't you see it's obvious absolutely nothing will be done? 1 mile, 100 miles, 1000 miles. Nobody in our government cares.

The helicopter wasn't 100 miles into U.S. airspace.
It was near Zapata, which is on the border.
I'm for shooting them down, but the Texas Air Force has not equipped me with a suitable aircraft. I'll take a P-51 Mustang. I'll need a credit card for fuel, too - those puppies are thirsty - and a lot of .50 ammunition for the guns.

Perhaps the Texas air force could ask the US government for some free F-16's to defend Texas with! After all, the US government gave Romania two squadrons for free.

The new NATO states of Eastern Europe have been working diligently to upgrade their forces to meet the standards of the western alliance. At the same time they have to be careful as to how much they spend. In this vein it was announced that the U.S. Government will sell twenty-four F-16 fighters to Romania. The aircraft will replace aging MiG-21 Fishbed Soviet made fighters.
Due to their lack of resource Romania will buy used aircraft through an intergovernmental contract. <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="text-decoration: underline">In fact the aircraft will be provided for free with Romania</span></span> responsible for paying for upgrades, training and infrastructure. The country had looked at other available aircraft including more modern SAAB Gripen and Eurofighters but just could not afford them. This path gets better capability at a lower price.

Wouldn't a few well placed magnum rounds work, as in .338 Lapua Magnum? You can't tell me there isn't anyone down there that has one or two, shoot even a .50 would work

I dont buy that, My son WAS an ICE agent, I said WAS, because he moved on because they arnt allowed to do their job. These guys on the whole would love to be able to go out there and do what they are suppose to be paid to do.
That comment is like blaming our soldiers for the idiotic rules of engagements in Iraq and Afgan.
I dont know the answer, I know the government WONT do anything about illegals, and private citizens are getting sued or charged for protecting themselves and property.
The only thing I see is voting for those who want to do something, but to be truthful, too many citizens dont care, its not their back yard thats being invaded,

That part of Texas is populated with Mexican Nationals, a few US Citizens, and a lot of snowbirds from Canada and the US. The RV park we used to stay in was about half or more Canadian. Essentially the going philosophy there is that the area is occupied Mexico. From Brownsville to Del Rio and further north along the river, for at least 100 miles inward, the area is run by foreign nationals.
Great Fishing on the gulf coast, but otherwise it sucks big time.

Although I do not condone the activity whatsoever, I truly feel that there will only be one end to the constant influx of illegal foreign nationals into the US and it's not with sanctions or rhetoric.

I think it lies more in society as a whole. No one will stand up and fight over it bu tinstead maintain the 'oh we can vote for it later on to try to fix it' line. Fact is, voting isn't going to fix this. It will take many people who are just so sick and tired of they will bring out th erifles and make a stand to stop it themselves. With this kind of violence directed at our people with the government doing nothing, our countrymen have proven throughout time they will not stand for it when it gets to be bad enough. Returning veterens did it in Alabama or Arkansas after WWII, who's to say OEF/OIF veterens won't do it now?

</div></div>Perhaps one would do better petitioning the Confederate Airforce. If memory serves they have some P51's, and possibly would be amenable to their being employed on a worth while venture.

Oh man, a real live popcorn machine!!! BADASSED!!!!! To have one and be able to feed it. Now I have envy. Never saw one trailer mounted, only in back of a deuce and a half.
