I'd like to take a moment and thank Rich and Derek for making this happen. What an outstanding course! Everything from 25yds out to 650 yds. was a challenge for me. This was my first precision shooting match and I wasn't sure what to expect. Everyone in my squad including R/O's were very supportive in making hits on steel by giving us newbies tips and other advice. Many thanks to all our sponsors and to BWSA for use of the facilities. I'm already looking forward to next year. Job well done guys!

Just wanted to say great job to Rich, Derek, and the gang at BWSC. I appreciate all the sponsors stepping up for a new match with some excellent prizes. I certainly didn't expect the excellent prize table that was there. Hopefully, this can be at least a yearly match. Rich has some excellent ideas and the layout of the range affords some very creative and different stages. It was great meeting many new Michigan shooters as well as those that traveled. Definitely put this match on your calendar for next year!

Just wanted to take a few minutes to thank Rich and the crew for setting up a great and challenging match. It is amazing how much planning and preparation and just plain hard work goes into one of these events. I would also like to thank all the Sponsors for there great donations to help make this match the success it was. I would like to thank Blue Water for hosting this event, just can't say enough about how awesome that place is. Finally I would like to thank the shooters that participated in the match, as stated above there was a mix of first time shooter (like me) and very seasoned accomplished shooters, I must say there was a lot of coaching going on helping the beginners and it was a great atmosphere. I met a lot of great people and made some lasting friendships as well. Could not have asked for a better situation. hope to see everyone at next years event.

Absolutely no apologizes are required! Not only did you get some great photos while a bunch of us yahoos were running around and shooting at things, you also did a fine job policing spent brass. If you can shoot a rifle half as good as that camera we are in trouble next year!!!!!!!! What an added bonus to the match to have great photos to look back on. Thanks again for your time. You took the photo part just as serious as the guy shooting and it shows.

I appreciate it, but I was just so excited to have such a competition in Michigan! Met some amazing people!! Rich knocked it out of the park. I just wanted to give the competitors pics that where useful. I want to shoot it next year but if I had to work camera I would. Whatever gets more shooters to participate. 3 days next year, will be a blast.

Real quick cause I'm at work, but yes, I was shooting a DTA with a Benchmark 6.5 Creedmoor barrel shooting factory Hornady 120gr. AMAX's. Scope was a USO fixed 17x with GAP reticle.

I'm not ready to give up my AIs, but watching Dave run that DTA on certain stages really made me wish that my rifle was about a foot shorter.

My hat's off to Rich and Derrick for putting on a great event!

I had an awesome time for my first competition. Train-up on Friday was helpful since I didn't have chrono data on the 120 AMAX factory stuff I was shooting through my DTA (it was a last minute decision to run with factory loads since my handloads were giving me an occasional misfire) and I was able to verify my dope at distance. Helping to setup up wasn't that tedious, it was actually kinda fun. During the event I had some great guys on my "squad" and the amount of info traded, the camaraderie when someone's equipment needed to be loaned on the spot when something failed, and the overall helpfulness of the other guys made this a real treat. As Rich said, he went a little light on us, but even so, some of the stages did help me ferret out some weak shooting points I need to work on, and what equipment needed to be replaced (sling).

Will definitely be doing this again next year.

Sorry there is no results list as it was to late when the match was completed so essentially nothing was recorded. As far as pics i have 2 discs full of pics and movies. I have a ton of stuff on my plate right now so very sorry for the delay. My plan is to get a page going for future match info and results.

I think entry for the first annual was $75 dollars, if memory serves me. It was a tough one day schedule with round count under 100, and fantastic weather. A little warm, but not too hot to have fun. Next year is supposed to get tougher and may be two days, and I am looking forward to it. I don't see any problem with Canadians joining the fun. If it's within driving range for you, come out and play. See you there.

I think your biggest issue will be transporting firearms and ammunition over & back through the border. I'm sure those border guys will raise some eyebrows at that precision gear. Come on down!

A member of our gun club is a Canuck, and he seems to have no trouble getting his TRG22 in/out of Canadaland on a regular basis.

I'm sure it's fine.

To get across the border I will just need an invite letter to submit with my transport forms. Well we will keep an eye on this for dates and entry. Looking forward to it. It will be a good end to the season for us.
Is there any range/comp restrictions on caliber. My partner and I shoot 260ai but have a 223 and 308 if we need to.
