Re: Midwest Rifle Master Challenge, Missouri, March

Are there going to be any stages shot Friday? Not going to be able to make the match now but may come down to watch some. Would it be better Friday or Sunday?

Re: Midwest Rifle Master Challenge, Missouri, March

I'm really, really, really late on this, but i'm bringing some gift certs with me for the prize table if that's ok. I should have done it a long time ago, but I procrastinated WAY too long.

Either way, i'll see you guys in about 12 hours.

Re: Midwest Rifle Master Challenge, Missouri, March

Yes, does have an awesome atmosphere and looks like it is going to be an awesome time. Was great to meet the other guys and gal from the hide. Had one hell of a meal for us all. Just great missouri hospitality. Looking forward to Saturday.

Re: Midwest Rifle Master Challenge, Missouri, March

It was a good time for sure! With this being my first experience in competition I learned A LOT! It was great to meet some fellow 'Hiders, pick up some tips, and enjoy a great weekend in the Ozarks. Many thanks to Brian, his family, sponsors, and all the other folks that helped out!!!!

Re: Midwest Rifle Master Challenge, Missouri, March

It was definately a great time. I really appreciated all the assistance in figuring out the smart way to run stages. Lessons were learned on the RO side of the house. Next years match will be smoother!!!

I can not believe the skill level of all shooters involved. I am humbled to have been part of this event. Thanks to Brian for letting me be part of this.

I hope to see you all in the future.

Looking to shooting this again.

You certainly made a fine guinea pig every time you were first at bat.

Many thanks again to our sponsers, volunteers and shooters. ROing for you guys was easy as pie with such a professional group of shooters. Kudos all around.

If you want to know who shot your apple, you dont have to wonder anymore. Couldnt find mine (#41, damn glare) on the board and wanted to blow shit up. After time, of course I noticed #1 the one I shot was right next to mine.

Re: Midwest Rifle Master Challenge, Missouri, March

Just made it home after the 5 hr. drive. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for a fun enjoyable weekend. It was a very laid back atmosphere. Brian has a great location for his match. The food was excellent. The sponsors were generous. Brian came up with some interesting stages. I wish time would have permitted for us to shoot the boat stage. It looked cool. Here in Illinois that would have been jail time...I think.

Thanks to Brian, his RO's, the property owners, and the sponsors.

I hope this turns into an annual match.

Re: Midwest Rifle Master Challenge, Missouri, March

Damn...what a great weekend!

A huge thanks needs to go out to all involved, but in particular, the ROs (Sean and Mike), the sponsors, the volunteers and for damn sure the shooters.

The competitors at this match were the model of professionalism...even the newbies. Everyone shot well, did well and most important, was SAFE. We did not have to deal with any safety issues at all, that is truly awesome. I have been to quite a few big time matches and there is almost always a ND. Thanks for keeping your heads straight. You guys completed a coarse of fire designed to support 36 shooters and almost 50 made it happen.

I appreciate it more than anyone knows.

Pics and more details to follow.

Re: Midwest Rifle Master Challenge, Missouri, March

Finally home and showered. What a weekend. First, let me say what a job by Brian, his wife, parents the RO's and staff. You guys pulled off what I would have thought impossible if you told me ahead of time. Thanks for your patience with a bit of our impatience. This was what a charity shoot should be; people getting together to raise money for a good cause and having a great time doing it.

It was great to be able to put faces with the names of Snipers Hide. I have a new found respect for the people on this site.

I have never eaten better at any match in my life. The food was fantastic, and there was still plenty left when we left today. If you went away hungry, it was all your fault. Thank you to the volunteers who slaved away to feed this motley crew.

And last but not least, thanks to all of you who made my first precision rifle match fun and a valuable learning experience. I came away with a lot to work on in the next few weeks before the mext match.

See you all at the next one...

Bill
