While I agree with prevailing sentiment here, bussing them to "sanctuary cities" is better than nothing.

They suckle at the tit of these blue cities, it gets bad enough that the conservative hanger-onners that make up the tax base of these states get tired of the crime and blight and move to other states where their vote might mean something. The dem led cities suffer, hike tax rates on corporations (because who else is going to pay the bill?) and businesses leave for more tax friendly states. Now the dem led city has less revenue, more expenses, higher unemployment and turn into Detroit 2.0 in the future.

No immediate gratification here, but it may be longer term play. The way I see, any meaningful solution to the problem falls under what would be considered "inhumane" by any modern standards. Like it or not, that's off the table for all politicians.

Fast forward to the date of my observation, and 31 out of 32 children were children of first-generation mexican immigrants. One of the children was a White boy.

More than half of the latinx children had to take an hour out of each of their curriculum each day to participate in an ELD program - English Language Development.

The one White child was given free time to play and had his education paused while providing equity for the latinx children. With the amount of latinx flooding my state’s judicial and education system, it is clear that their own kin are being given preferential treatment while my countrymen are being passed over and not allowed to develop to their full potential.

I wrote a scathing report on why the American taxpayer should not subsidize English-Language-Development programs and got an standing ovation from my professor at the time.
