other than cosmetics, is there any difference between the 10th anniversary 5R and the ones from 2010 that were not anniversary??

There are actually two major differences that make the 10th Anniversary Edition special. After making so many 5R's, Remington figured it was as good a time as any to buy new reamers and mandrels. That means the chambers of the 10th's are cut cleaner and the rifling is more consistent and sharp.

There is no way to tell other than it is indicated on the barrel.....just Remington advertising with no difference in performance or features. Celebrates 10 years of offering 5Rs to the public....
