Seems my rings got cerakote inside them when I had them coated.

Here is a dumb question, do I need to remove it before mounting my scope.

Not sure why they were cerakote on the inside too unless this is the way its done.

If I need to, how do I remove it?

Thanks

i dont think cerakote is very thick when it is applied so you might be able to get away with having it on there. this is just a guess since I havent actually had the process done yet. i would think that as long as it isnt causing any binding issues or mounting issues then you could be fine to leave it. ill leave a definitive answer from someone with a little more experience though.

They are good to go according to who did the work. Why would he do the entire ring in cerakote had to be removed for the scope. I just needed my mind at ease over this.

Thanks
