I have a plain set of boards and was thinking of putting a mil recticle on them. When I thought about it more I figured hell I live down the street from the largest online cornhole supplier in the country. If we can brainstorm a little together and enough people are interested I could talk to them and get them to draw up a design. Their boards a second to none! Not cheap spray painted junk. I guess you could say they are the nightforce of the cornhole industry. Lol. Any ideas?

Re: mildot cornhole boards

A great idea would be to explain to people what in the hell you are talking about.

I don't think I have ever needed a cornhole board, let alone one with a mildot reticle on it.

And exactly what in the hell is up with the the nations largest cornhole supplier....I was born with mine? Only ever needed that one. Do a lot of people you know buy extras after they have stretched out their's and hang them on some kind of board to shrink them back up?

Re: mildot cornhole boards

Its a game. I guess I will start at the beginning. It is by far the most popular outdoor game around ohio. With exception to professional sports obviously. I heard it started years ago at tailgating parties for the bengals and steelers games. Basically you have 2 boards with a hole in them almost at the top. They are placed about 30 feet apart and each team has 2 players that stand at opposite ends. You have 4 small bean bags filled with corn. The object is to get them into the hole. That's where you get the name cornhole! Not to be confused with asshole! I will not get into scoring and how that works but it is a hell of a lot of fun. Hell there are tournaments and all kinds of stuff around here for it. It is hard to believe some people haven't heard of it. As for the business I am familiar with. Its 2 guys that partnered and started making and painting the boards. You can get all kinds of shit on them. Mostly sport teams, beer brands, camo, and so on. And believe it or not it is very big around here and I know some surrounding states. Hell I know the two guys are pulling in 6 figures with their setup! there actually in UPS's top 3 customers by volume in montgomery county ohio. That's pretty impressive considering you have Dayton and all the suburbs surrounding. Anyways hope this was helpful and let me know if your interested. Their website is www.cornhole.com

Yea I am working on a smaller version. My computer went to shit so all I got to work with in the time being is my blackberry. I keep forgetting to scale it down at work. It is annoying me to!

Re: mildot cornhole boards

Down here we have 3 holes in the boards for 5,10 or 20 points and we use washers.Real popular in every machine shop I've worked in.Cornhole boards........yankees are weird.

Re: mildot cornhole boards

Lol, it is legit. the guy that started the company actually had to take out a loan to buy that name from some porn company. I never heard for sure what he had to pay to buy it out but it was a pretty penny from what I heard.

HAHA I was thinking the same thing. It kinda sounds like playing washers.

Good friend of mine that happens to be a good ole country boy from tennessee once told me that opinions are kind of like cornholes, everybody has one and most of the time they stink!
Damn is there a thread you can't find a stereotyping jackass on anymore?

Re: mildot cornhole boards

I get it now, like horseshoes, except safe for people on short buses who wear helmets

CORNHOLE!!!!

Their mascot is an inedible seed and we're surprised by their renaming a party game after the culo?

Re: mildot cornhole boards

Tburkes, you would probably do more business than you think. Cornhole is pretty popular here in Kentucky, and I don't consider us Yankees. It's a lot less destructive to a yard than horseshoes, and a lot easier to set up, play, and enjoy some beers on a sunny Sunday.

Re: mildot cornhole boards

So you are callin NASCAR fans cornholers? Oh man this is FUNNY!

I got horse shoes, croquet, and bachi, all good games that go with drinking and summer days but I will never ever cornhole my friends, it just ain't right! Besides a big ass yard means I can mess up a couple spots under the tree

Life is good when there is no HomoAss. to tell me what to do

Nah, that's just where I saw the game... Come to think of it, I saw a bunch of folks playing when we went to Atlanta for the night race too but not at Barber Motorsports for the Rolex GT series???

I'm not going to take photo's but mine are khaki & green and the boards are camo.
So maybe you should start

Re: mildot cornhole boards

Love the game. I have family in Md and they play it. I'm sure its huge at NASCAR.LOL

I made a great set that we bring to all the Phillies games(season tickets0 but i left the bags outside and some animal eat them.

Thanks for the link. I just ordered bags.

Washers: We just use one can on each side. It sits in a wood box.

Now if I can only find my old Lawn darts.

Tony,
I did try your bag out.

It was a bit too large for the hole while Triads seemed quite small in comparison..........just sayin'

Re: mildot cornhole boards

Its hard to believe that many people have never even heard of it! Anyways I am definitely going to paint a mildot on mine. I thought it would be a pretty nice change up from all the usual ones you see. I will upload some pics whenever I get around to it. If anyone is interested in boards PM me and I will talk to the guys there about it.

Re: mildot cornhole boards

First thing I did was look at where the OP was living and wasn't surprised when I saw Ohio. Got some relatives that live out there and the first time they told us about that game they got the same response most here have given LOL

I am not a stereotyping jackass, primarily as I have one hand.....get it stereo typing....Any who,I have family in Michigan and the yankee thing was in the light hearted tone of the thread.Perhaps you lost a game of cornhole and are a tad sore about it.....

Not really, it seems every thread requires one, as well as the butthurt pansy that whines at even the most gentle ribbing

Re: mildot cornhole boards

So here it was Saturday morning. Torin calls his buddy Bailly and they say I get to take him over for the night, round 'bout 2 or so. I get there, adn here's this dude and a bunch of Soldiers Corn Holin'. Now damned if I woulda ever thought I would say that and laugh my ass off instead of gettin sick. This hill country hereabouts TN is some kinda place. Funny thing is, these guys had aperfect place for the horse shoes right in the grass next to their cornhole boards. Went back with Panty 6 later on to drop the boy's larger stuff off and noted with intrest the few imports as well as a handful of muffin topped local girls that were hanging out with joe corn holin and drinkin light beer.
Damn, joes cornholin has a new meanin!

Re: mildot cornhole boards

So now ya saw.
Basicaly same as shoes, but can still bs with buddies at pit and not have to worry about getting hit by stray throw from newbie.
We have two shoe pits with a sticky blue clay on the trap range.
(By trap houses, under lights)
We can set up cornhole in the club house, near the keg/kitchen in the rain.
Bows are also welcome.

That made me laugh out loud. To answer your next question, it's also a family game here

Re: mildot cornhole boards

It is addicting, never start playing it if you have an addictive personality. They is another similar game using various size large washers and corresponding holes. Noisier than the bean bags.

Re: mildot cornhole boards

We play the game down here too.....but we like to refer to it by a better name......we simply call it THE BEAN BAG TOSS GAME!!!
