am schooling up on long distance shooting and have started using the mildot master but was confused by its use of bullet drop instead of path. the examples used seemed to for the .308 seemed to be much closer to path instead of drop.
are they misusing the term? am confused

It is just another way to reverse engineer range. If you go to page 15 (top sentence says "will then give you the needed number of "clicks of elevation" you are just using the bullet drop of YOUR rifle cartridge combo that you should have already verified. This really isn't the best way to use scope clicks in my opinion. It is better used for multiple distance engagement where you can use holdover or hold under to engage targets.
