Rifle Scopes Millett TRS on a .308?

It should be fine. Had one on an AR10 and Savage in 308. Over 1K rds and no probs. Could also save up a wee bit more and get a vortex viper.

I have one on my Savage and it has held up well, although I have been seriulsy lacking in the shooting department lately. I think for the money they are good. Dont they even make MIL/MIL version now??? My complaints are the 1/8 moa knobs (mine is an older one) and the lack of turn indicators on the turret barrel. I think those have been updated since mine was built.

What do you like better about the Vortex? I've been eyeing them but its hard to tell on paper

The TRS I've been looking at has the mil/mil version available. I didint realize they had dropped it. Maybe some are still floating around?

I'm gonna go ahead and put some quality on it, I 'm gonna get some better glass later, so I figured I would get some good mounts now and have no issues
I like the NF base-rings assy. or maybe Larue's stuff. Its almost as much as the Millett (hehe) but I'm looking at putting a NF scope on it later. I like the reticle options they offer, they look workable without being too busy
