Missing hole on B&C stock?

Was just about to send out my B&C medalist stock when I noticed that there was no hole drilled at for the screw towards the back of the trigger guard. The only two holes were for the action. Is it normal to not have this screw hole and is something that needs to be drilled?

is the stock for a remmy 700?? there should be two holes for screws.

It's for a savage 4.4 spacing. Will post after work. Just noticed it this morning while packing it up to send to cdi.

That's normal. Take a small drill bit (smaller than screw) and drill a pilot hole. The screw is similar to a wood screw and will make it own threads when screwed into the stock. It's no big deal.

Thanks for the info. I figured it was. Didn't even notice it at first. Just wanted to double check.
