Building something similar to a MK12, but not a clone. I'll be using a Centurion MK12 barrel. I plan on using an A5 buffer set up. Does a green Springco rifle buffer spring with an A5H2 buffer sound right?

I run an A5H3 on an 11.5 with a springco green. With an 18 inch barrel I'd start with a green spring and an A5H2.

Just an FYI fight master firearms has a build your own buffer system setup

I use the a5A2 buffer and GI spring.
Before I got an adjustable gas block the A3 was a bit better but my barrel has the big cold weather gas port(.103?) it runs super smooth and is a joy to shoot.

The A5H2 is the same weight as a rifle buffer, so it should run with just about any setup.

My lightest recoiling setups use AGBs and A5H0 buffers.

I don't know how a Sprinco Green is any different from, or offers any advantages over standard rifle springs. I've been using Damage Industries and Brownells' CS rifle springs for A5 configurations.

I bought the kit from Viltor that ships with the A5H2 buffer and standard rifle spring. I switched the weights down to the "0" equivalent and can't tell any difference between the two. I am shooting a 16" mid gas barrel from BCM known for generous gas ports. I am running a pretty efficient comp.
