Hey WI50, I'll shoot the br if the offer is still there. I don't see myself getting any shooting time to sight mine in with that new scope from gunman. This bathroom remodel is killing me. As it turns out, Murphys law does apply to everything I do.
WI50, I'll call ya closer to the weekend. I'm definitly coming to the shoot though. I don't care if this f&^%ing house burns to the ground, I'll be there.

I shot the little shit at 600 yds today and it really did well, time and time again. I shortened up the LOP to 13.5" also so it's a little easier to shoot.
My chronograph didn't fair out so well, though a new photosenser and a little duct tape and I think it'll work again.
I'll load plenty of ammo. I've got my final load nailed down. CCI 450 primers and 30.5 gr of RL-15, 107 SMK's. It's been consistantly good time and time again, so it's time to load lots of ammo.

Sorry guys....I dont think Im going to make it this time....Money is short and Im busy as FUCK with this School bit...Last week I had 2 tests and this week I had 3 more by Wednesday morning.....and next week I have 3-4 BIG projects due....

Absolutly...come on out...it doesnt matter your skill level with this group...hell we have some guys that come on out with their deer rifles and shoot with factory ammo.....so by all means come on out..you can contact a number of us for dirrections, if you want you can contact me and Ill get ya there...

yeaterday was fun, I managed to get the 35 point bonus dot at 500 yds with the 6br, the little bastard shoots pretty good.
Look out though, Bauer Arms has a .260 barrel on the AIAW that's showing some real potential.

I'm glad I saw this thread, I just shot my first 1,000yd match this past weekend in a long time and I've got the bug again. I hope I can just have the time.
I didn't do too poorly considering I was shooting a PSS clone - it's a clone because the action started life as a .243 Youth and I picked up a PSS barrel & stock for it, plus the Nightforce & Mark 4. I'm glad I had enough MOA to shoot at 1,000 with it.
I tried shooting a McMillan I'd just picked up, but it's got a two-piece base, not enough MOA, plus IIRC the Vari-X III on it is an inch tube. It should be fun at 500yds or less, though.
I'll keep you guys posted, let's hope you get a new addition to the club.

I now have my membership at Elk River too so if any of you guys want to put something together and go shooting out to 600 let me know.
The weekend before the first league shoot in April is when I will get my pass card and do my club walk around so it is going to be a long wait...
On another note, I am going to scope out a shooting area at my cabin that could possibly get over a mile... Might have to do a spring shoot at the cabin.

I pissed around a lot, this and that but never really got any drastic results. 30.5 gr of RL-15, Lapua brass and the CCI 450 mag primers. 107 SMK. 2940 FPS.
I should try some 105 Sceners but the SMK's work well and I have a bunch......keep it simple and stick to one thing.
BR4 primers work well, the 450 Mag primers work "as well, or better" Couldn't really tell a difference. CCI 400's are just to soft and give out to early

just got 2 new barrels, ordered on 2-8-08, delivered on 2-21....not bad
I'm heating the shop, 40X50 feet, 14 ft walls, so 28,000. Running right around $175 per month...... 35 bushels of corn at $5 a bushel. (corn stove) But it's not kept near as warm as a house., usually 50-60 deg. I think there's 8000 BTU in a pound of corn, 56 pounds per bushel. $5 per bushel. 448000 BTU for $5, or 89,600 btu per $1. Compare that to a $2+ gallon of propane with 92-96,000 BTU.

I am thinking of cranking the house down to about 60 or so, and just space heating the rooms which we occupy.
