Rifle Scopes Moa for mounting?

The optic I am going to install on my rifle has 90 MOA of adjustment. How steep of an moa base should I use to maximize ranges? The rifle has a 20 moa integrated in it from the factory. How far toward the extreme does it make sense to go? I was considering the burris XTR signature rings. Which allow customization of the angle.

with 90 total, you have 45 moa from the middle, and with a 20 MOA rail that gives you 65 moa of available travel. That isn't bad as it is, so a set of regular rings would do you fine. If you want to go a little bit more, the signature rings are just fine. I wouldn't go a whole lot more, I don't like getting close to the max.
I have a set on a 6.5 Creedmoor and a set on a 300 WM. The 6.5 Creedmoor has hundreds of rounds through it with those rings, the 300 WM has maybe a couple dozen. They have both held up fine so far.

I sighted in my scope today and have 30 mils of available 32 mils for up adjustment. That is roughly 100 mi utes of available 110 minutes of total adjustment.
I have a 20 minute rail and another 30 minutes in the Burris XTR Signature rings. This is on a .300 Win Mag with zero issues.

Great thanks. I will try to peg it pretty low. Maybe leave a 5-10% buffer

Depending cal it will take 3.5-5 moa just to get to 100yds, so if everything on the stick is perfect you could go 40-41.5 however I would leave 5-8 in the scope myself. If it were me I'd do another 15 an call it a day.

Cool. That seems like a solid plan. I didn't want to be bumping against the stops. But I also didn't want to leave a bunch on the table. I will start with a 15 moa adjustment and see what happens.

Just remember every number your working with is not in stone, as tolerance stacking is normal in everything. My experience with the XTR's is they are very close ONLY IF your ring spacing is perfect. I don't worry about that spacing at all, just place them were you want them an move forward. The other thing about the XTR's is they will change slightly after the first install. They will never mark the scope, an installed properly will never slip, either. I've had/have them on some weapons that will detach your retinas, an none of them have ever slipped or failed.

I use XTR Sig rings wiht my XTR II 5-25x50 on a 20moa rail with ~10moa in the rings(ring spacing+inserts). We have clearance Clarence about 700 rounds easy peezey like my setup a lot.

Thanks for the reply. I put 30MOA adjustment into the optic today. It looks like I have about 9 left to go down before it bottoms out. Seems like a good place to zero. Thanks for the advice.
