Ok preface this. I am an MOA guy who just changed to MIL and have been trying to learn everything on my own. I can't go shoot right now so I am looking for some internet firearms counseling ;)

( AND YES I SEARCHED THIS SITE)

I have recently purchased a Schmidt PM II with .1mrad elevation.

I ordered a 30 moa rail and currently have 20 moa rail zero.

My scope is zero'd at 100 yards with 20 moa rail and my new 30 moa rail just came in. I installed it and mounted everything back up. I am wondering how to do the math or how many clicks to bring back to "calculated" zero to make up the 10 moa change.

Thanks Lowlight!

So in my case, 10 moa increase would make 2.91545...... mils?

The real reason I am paranoid is, I put my 30 moa rail on and realized I only have 7 clicks left till I bottom out my elevation.

you don't have to carry the decimal place so far, you can only dial 2.9... I see a lot of people trying to prove a point by carrying the decimal place further. Completely unnecessary it.

Just round it off... 2.9

You should have more, you have to defeat the zero stop. So loosen the cap, put it to like 3 mils and then dial it back to zero. Remember there is elevation under the zero stop.
