Rifle Scopes Moar-t

I have a ATACR MOAR on the way and just found out they are going to be offering the MOAR-T reticle in it. I'm going to be putting it on a 6.5SAUM with a Manners T4 and sendero contour Krieger barrel. Gun will be used mostly for banging steel, predator hunting, and possibly some F Class and other 1000 yard target shooting. Question for those that have seen and used the thinner MOAR-T. Would I be better served with the thinner reticle for holds at 1000 plus, or will the MOAR be suitable?

Do you have it in the ATACR? I've read that the standard MOAR is thinner in the ATACR than in other scopes.

Nope mine is a regular nxs but I would doubt it is thinner in the actar. Would have to consult your dealer

Last I checked the MOAR sub tended about 1.3 inches at 100 yards and the MOAR t sub tends about the same as the NPR 1, about 2/3 of an inch.

Hmmm, seems rather odd that Nightforce would use different sub tends for the same reticle irregardless of the model scope.

The line thickness of the actual reticle is the same in all of the MOAR-Ts. It just subtends differently in the NXS (measured at 22x) vs. the ATACR (measured at 25x) because of magnification.

From the ATACR w/ MOAR-T press release:
"Derived from the popular Nightforce MOAR™ reticle, the 0.05 MOA line thickness
(subtension) of the MOAR-T™ allows even greater precision at extreme ranges, especially on
smaller targets."

From the NF website, in reference to MOAR-T in the NXS:
"... and our new MOAR-T™ delivers. .0625 MOA lines, with 1 MOA elevation and windage markings."

I have the MOAR on both the ATACR and the NXS. I was a little concerned on the thickness of the reticle befor I got the ATACR. After I received the scope it seemed that the ATACR reticle was thinner. It might be just because of the higher power and wider FOV of the ATACR. I have no problem with the reticle at distances of 1K to 1300 yds. And I'm targeting paper and clays as well as steel. So no worry's.

I have the MOAR and wish it was a little thinner though. Other than that, I love the scope. If I was gonna use it for what you mention, then yes, I would want the MOAR-T.

Forgot to mention, with the illumination on high, I would definatly want the MOAR-T.
In daylight the high setting with the MOAR makes the reticle way thick.

Sometimes I use it after I start getting eye fatigue, makes it easier to focus for another minute or two. I don't know why, but it seems to help.
