SOLD Model 97 Winchester 12 gauge

Listing my fathers model 97 Winchester 12 gauge. Don’t really know how much to ask specifically but I’m seeing them sell for over 800 and up on gunbroker and other sites. He is older now and wouldn’t mind a couple extra bucks so I’m going to ask for $750 and see if he gets any bites. The shotgun is in perfect working order (i shot my first dove with this gun over 25 years ago) and has been regularly cleaned it’s entire life. yep. not even remotely close to a trench gun.

Its a few minutes with a hacksaw and a repro heat shield away from being a "trench like" gun.

If I’m reading it right it appears to be 1897-98

Open up a thread in vintage....lets see what you make of that.

I got a thread going on my 870 project.

Kind of at a standstill now, waiting for metal to come back from parkerizing, only thing I can do is linseed oil my wood which will be a work of art when done.

They did a trench gun conversion for me, I highly recommend, they did an excellent job.
Of course I had to try the slam-fire technique, it certainly would be devastating!
