Modify AXMC 300WM magazine for 30-06?

I'd like to have a barrel chambered in 30-06 or 280 Rem for my AXMC, but magazines aren't available. I would not think the 300WM magazines would work, but wondered if anyone had success with modifying the 300WM magazine, and if you experienced any reliability issues?

All you need to do is bend the feed lips in to fit the case. The Accurate Mag 30-06 mags work well too.

I have 5 .300WM magazines that I bent to work with the '06. I bought one of those feed lip tools from Brownell's to do it. I have the measurements wrote down at home, I'll poist them up later...

Its not specifically what you asked, but; anything 284win based is a shade over .5" in the body so may be a better match?

I ran into this back a few years ago with one of my 280AI's. I bought a tool for the HS precision bottom metal to bend the lips on a 300WM AI mag. That thing feeds like a champ. It took some dummy rounds and a bit of time to get the first one right but after that the others were easy.
