Alright guys, well a lot has happened in the background on this project over the last few days. I’ve fielded tons of emails and PMs with all kinds’ of issues. During the middle of the week the project looked DRT due to a handful of potential donors making their donations contingent on a specific design being chosen but after a lot of back and forth, I think we’re all or most of us anyway, are on the same page (i.e. the projects purpose outweighs minor design disagreements). During the aforementioned, my buddy who owns a printing business and is also kicking in time and money to this project was able to use his network to get us 4.25” x 6” single sided glossy cards (one side has our design the other side is blank) for ~$0.02/card (0.021 exactly) which is screaming good deal because the industry standard is almost twice that around $.03 - $.04 per card assuming 20,000 cards. In other words, each card costs about 2 cents. Then there’s shipping from the printer to me and then me to you which sucks but it’s a necessary evil.
Per the poll results, we’re going to go with the high resolution version shown at the bottom of this post. <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="text-decoration: underline">PLEASE</span></span> give it a close look and post any errors you see.
So I’m opening up donations for the first run which will be ran Sunday night and Monday morning and shipped out either ~Tuesday morning or afternoon. The quantity that gets printed depends on how much in donations we can rack up from now till Sunday night. I think the idea is to get these cards out to people who can distribute them as fast and far as possible but I think it’s only fair to give the people who put money towards the project first crack at however many cards they can manage but the overall goal of the project is to hammer as many on-the-fence legislators as possible so I think the donors are OK with sending out cards to other people as well but obviously donors would get first crack.
To donate for this first run please send anything you can via Paypal as a gift, I know Paypal hates us but it’s the most effective way of transferring money fast. Pease don’t mention “melon labe” or anything else. Just a simple donation with a “Happy Birthday” or your Sniper’s Hide Username should suffice. I’ll keep track of the donations via your email address. If you absolutely don’t want to Paypal, please send me a PM.

We need to hit a certain threshold in order to even proceed and I think based on peoples pledges in the forums and via PMs that we have met that threshold but if we don’t meet that threshold then the project is DOA and I’ll refund the money. Guys, send what you can, even $5 buys 250 cards and if we want this to effective we need to dump as many of these cards on to legislators as possible. If anyone has any friends in real life or on other forums that might want to join forces please get them this info.
