Rifle Scopes Months spent researching scopes, now what rings?

Hello Hide, After countless hours of research I decided on a razor HD gen 2 4.5-27. I didn't even consider the rings or a cantilever mount. Their are so many options I really have no idea what to go with. I don't need the exact model number just some solid advice on a quality product. I don't feel the need to spend $400 on a mounting system but if its really worth it I will. Whatever advice you can give is appreciated.

For me I would be choosing between the ARC M10 (that is the one in the logo over my name) and the SPUHR. If I did not need any of the extra features of the SPUHR it would be the ARC.

I would say buy my Badger rings, but they are 34mm. Won't fit. Honestly I've ran badger on a few rifles and have never had a problem. They are machined in pairs and in my opinion, are well worth the money. Stout rings that won't let you down. I do also have a Spurh and plan on getting another one. The spur's really take the guesswork out of scope alignment with the included wedge. I'm in SOCAL too. There are always PRS matches around here. You will notice that many of the guys use the Sphur mounting systems though. Great quality. Single mounting system, I'd go sphur. If you want rings, Badger.

Badger 34 mm rings won't fit?? 34mm is what the OP needs for his Gen 2 Razor. The rings the others mentioned are all top quality rings but functionally you don't have to spend top $$$ to get the same functionality for your purposes. I have Seekins, Vortex PMR (which are Seekins rings), Badger, and Spuhr rings and they are all top quality. The Seekins and equivalent Vortex PMR rings are a little less money than Badger or ARC M10 rings and that might be important to you. The ARC M10 rings are easier to mount since each ring only has one bolt to tighten, each Seekins ring will have 2 torx bolts for the rail clamp, and 4 torx bolts for the ring clamp. The best value will be finding someone on the PX here selling a used set. The one thing with your chosen rifle is it has a full length rail so you might need higher rings since it's more like mounting a scope on an AR.

I believe that the alignment of a single mount is much better than two separate rings.
I Just did some scope/mount/rifle swapping and my new MPA 34mm mount is very nice. I would definitely recommend it.

I like my Vortex (Seekins made?) cantilever mount for my Razor Gen 1. I've looked at the Spuhr and wondered whether there was enough room between its rings to move my scope further forward or backward. Another choice is Bobro.

I have used my Vortex precision matched rings for 1,5 years now, and they have done nothing wrong. However, I do think that Nightforce rings looks nicer, and from experience I know they work just as good.

Seekins are the price leader and hold zero perfectly
ARC M10 work great for ease of installation, great if you're swapping scopes but keeping the rings in place too
NF unimounts (I have a compact magmount) don't hold resale value but are available used for great prices and work perfectly

I've never owned a Spuhr as the feature set doesn't help me much over the ones above, but they are well loved.

I haven't personally used Spuhr, but the ARC rings are just so easy to install and are rock-solid. Having that single screw and the "clamp" design makes it a breeze... no more worrying about the scope moving while I line up the top part of the rings, etc.

I haven't owned a Spuhr mount but I have owned Nightforce rings and Seekins rings. The ARC rings blow everything else out of the water as far as two-piece mounts. They're all I use on any gun now.

Late to the party here but it sounds like you have one scope at this time (once the bug hits you'll buy more, with the wife's permission of course :) So I'd suggest a mount rather than rings. That way when you want to shoot PRS you can move the mount (with scope already leveled and installed) to your prs rig. When you want to go shoot pigs (probably not in California...) you can move the mount to your AR. I also like the mounts that have levels built into them. I bought a Spuhr used and love it. But they are super expensive. If you can find one check out the AADmount in 34mm. It's $299 retail but has a level built in and its tritium illuminated. One thing with a mount is that they are generally higher than rings so its helpful if you have an adjustable cheek piece to get you eye up.
