No argument from me. I'll just add that one other function of vaccines is to stop the spread. We think that the mRNA vaccines work to keep the vaccinated person from getting sick. We do not know if they stop asymptomatic transmission. Still worthwhile even if they do not (assuming that they are safe).
I think Fauci is a modern day Dr. Mengele with how he handled the aids crisis. Had no problem with letting that run rampant. Oh no, you can't isolate and lock down people for that.............That would be non p.c.

Would you accept “presymptomatic” transmission instead? Either way, there is plenty of evidence for both with the disease. You are correct that there is none so far with the vaccine preventing illness but not transmission. It is a concern as an unknown for herd immunity with the vaccine.

If you haven't seen this study, they found 300 asymptomatic cases, test 1200 close contacts and found no transmission. You don't get sick from someone who is not sick. We have known this for eons.

With your laundry list of physical ailments you are right in the sub MOA target of COVID. Your age group and preexisting conditions puts you at high risk and increases your chances for a dirt nap. From the research I have seen and working with a few hundred individuals who have tested positive, I can tell you a large aerobic base and healthy immune system are your greatest allies in avoiding it and beating it if you have been infected.
The COPD guarantees anything that requires heavy breathing is not an option. So no chance to put some low level aerobic work in to build that aerobic base. And your greatest factor for immune function is age - younger you are the stronger the immune system. Stack that with prior history of cancer, and you are in the highest risk category.
You should be the first guy at line to get the vaccine and first guy to the get the booster. If you are old with bunch of preexisting conditions, you are the person the vaccine was intended to target.
Side note, I have been exposed 10 times to people that tested positive shortly thereafter. Many times in close proximity for extended periods of time. I have not had symptoms, have tested negative 4 times with 2 negative blood tests for antibodies.
You are old, get the vaccine.
If you are a young healthy individual that trains his ass of everyday, gets 60 minutes a day of direct sunshine or takes 10k IU of Vitamin D3 and doesn't have a fat ass - I would say it is less of an issue.
But I wonder if some of this stuff isnt virtue signaling for attention more than making an impassioned plea for clemency.

From the research I have seen and working with a few hundred individuals who have tested positive, I can tell you a large aerobic base and healthy immune system are your greatest allies in avoiding it and beating it if you have been infected.
The COPD guarantees anything that requires heavy breathing is not an option. So no chance to put some low level aerobic work in to build that aerobic base. And your greatest factor for immune function is age - younger you are the stronger the immune system. Stack that with prior history of cancer, and you are in the highest risk category.
You should be the first guy at line to get the vaccine and first guy to the get the booster. If you are old with bunch of preexisting conditions, you are the person the vaccine was intended to target.
Side note, I have been exposed 10 times to people that tested positive shortly thereafter. Many times in close proximity for extended periods of time. I have not had symptoms, have tested negative 4 times with 2 negative blood tests for antibodies.
You are old, get the vaccine.
If you are a young healthy individual that trains his ass of everyday, gets 60 minutes a day of direct sunshine or takes 10k IU of Vitamin D3 and doesn't have a fat ass - I would say it is less of an issue.
But I wonder if some of this stuff isnt virtue signaling for attention more than making an impassioned plea for clemency.
