It is always a struggle to get out on your own. It was fraught with difficulties 50 years ago. It is also difficult today. 50 years ago, the pres was stymied by a commie congress. Now, the commies are in charge and it still sucks.

You do realize that 66% (2/3) of US soldiers in WW2 were forced against there will by big gov’t using threats of imprisonment and/or death to fight in a foreign war thousands of miles from home. That’s called a draft which means most were coerced into taking part. I would rather have died fighting for my freedom against the gov men trying to take it away at home then to die as a cannon fodder overseas for politicians.

Back then rent was affordable, and the mortgage vultures weren't coming up with new schemes and rules every other day.

My Grandma was giving me a talking too, about how hard it was to pay the 20 year mortgage on their $30k house when they made $10/hr. They just weren't sure they could do it since their apartment was $75/month!

Her jaw dropped when I told her I was qualified for a $350k loan, and the bankers were berating me for only spending $175k.

Our corrupt gov’t is definitely in on it yet some guys in this very thread are encouraging young men to not only join it’s ranks, but sign over their personal sovereignty and carry a gun for it. Blows me away.
