More bad news for NY

kmussack; When your illustrious governor made the statement about "extreme conservatives" he wasn't only referring to NY city, he was speaking for the whole state. I agree that the state of New York is a beautiful place, but when you see that you are in an unwinable situation and trying to survive....you go where you can survive, and hope that some day those that ran you out will soon see the error of their ways or either suffer through them. Either way......BYE!!!

Sorry to burst anyone's bubble on Remington moving soon. But lets get some things straight.
We hear this talk all the time when something comes up in the media
Remington is regularly hiring large groups of skilled workers through the Herkimer County's Workforce Solution office
How do I know?? Im live 10 minutes from the plant, and have good lifelong friends in many different departments(including management). Im also currently unemployed and hoping to get work there.
They have put in lots on new, updated, equipment recently to keep up with production.
Could they move?? Of course....Anyone can move...

The fact remains that 2000 new jobs will NOT be created by Remington in NY, they're going to Alabama.

That's the writing on the wall, Remington is simply marking time until they can pull the plug for good in NY State.

Hope you're able to land work, good luck on the search.

Or....Or .... could be like allot of other companies in NY they are looking for tax breaks to stay.

Typical pol*&^al BS where a state increases taxes on every business. then creates tax free zones:
"Syracuse, NY - Start-Up NY, New York's latest economic development program, is touted as creating zones where new companies and their employees will be 100 percent free of state taxes."
Start-Up NY tax-free zones may not be totally tax free, Syracuse lawyers warn | syracuse.com

Remington may be "negotiating" the tax bill to stay.
