Aaaaaaand received!

First impression: very impressed. I don't see how the "fit and finish" could get any better. The turrets are a 10, very solid feel, nice audible and tactile clicks. Illumination is very nice and crisp with no spill over off the reticle. The parallax and power rings take deliberate force to turn, yet not too much. The glass, well, we all know that's extremely subjective, but just from looking out my window (so take it for what it's worth) it appears to be Mk4-ish level (which I've always found quite sufficient).

Looking forward to running it some and seeing how it does. Thanks to CameraLand for the speedy shipping!

This is one on top of my hit list... Where do the turrrets match the reticle? At max mag? Or less?

"Turrets matching the reticle" means that they are using the same measurement... Mil/Mil or Moa/Moa or IPHY/IPHY.

On FFP optics the reticle will always be the proper size.

On SPF optics it is generally at max magnification but that can vary per optic.

Re: More Vortex Viper PST's Have Arrived

Got mine as well yesterday. Great scope, turrets are awesome, glass is night and day better than some of the other scopes I saw at the gun show in Ft Worth. I'd say it is on par with the Leupolds I was looking at over at Cabelas last weekend. I just need to learn all about the MRAD/MIL system now.

"Match" might not have been the best choice of words there. I'm going through brain fade.... What's the term I'm looking for... When you can actually use the graduations on a SFP optic... Thought there was a word for that... Anyone?

Re: More Vortex Viper PST's Have Arrived

It might not be the word you're looking for but- calibrated might be where you're headed.

SFP scopes are calibrated to have the reticles perform at a certain magnification.

Really? I'm almost always awake.

We still have 2.5-10x44's in both MOA and MRAD available, however, this scope is only offered in SFP not in FFP

Re: More Vortex Viper PST's Have Arrived

Received my FedEx package today and there was the PST 6x24x50 FFP Mil/Mil.
I was really looking forward to receiving this scope and Vortex & CameraLand came thru.
I will highly recommend you folks to everyone at the Hide and the range.
Mounted the scope and fired 6 rounds to zero and the sky's opened up on me, but I'm happy with the Vortex and can not say enough about your customer service.
I also want to thank you, Doug & Neil went the extra step by including a free hat and shirt and coffee & outstanding service.
