New to the forum so greetings to all, my post is about my Mossberg 100 atr .243win bolt action rifle, with a Nikon 3x9x40 prostaff scope. How hard would this be to convert this rifle to a tactical rifle? seems this would make a good project because of how flat the gun shoots your advice would be greatly appreciated thanks...Rob

Re: Mossberg 100 atr .243win

acually it has a barrel nut and easly removable barrel, with a floating bolt head. Its not much different they a Savage or Marlin. A friend of mine cut the barrel nut off, Opend the reciever threads to accomadate a savage Barrel and use the savage barrel nut.

Id say these rifles will be modified more in the future and we will see more and more of them. Good luck with your rifle. Find a smith that would be willing to do the work and you could have a switch barrel.
