Latest G&A showcases this series of rifles as "more affordable AR's" on it's latest cover.
I plan to watch this develoment rather closely.

My interest for the MMR was sublimated into the purchase of a Stag Arms Model 6 Super Varminter going on a year ago. It has met and surpassed all my wishes for a tack driving LR AR. Just Stellar!
I also acquired a Mossberg MVP Predator shortly thereafter, but only finally got out to zero and final evaluate it as of yesterday.
It is the Predator model, not the Varmint model I had (still?) covet(ed). It has a shorter (20" vs 24"), slimmer barrel, the practical sporter laminated stock bears a somewhat lower comb, and it's altogether a good bit lighter and more wieldy. I entered this particular evaluation with mixed expectations.
It has a 1:9" twist bore and processes 75gr PPU Match respectably (3MOA off bench/bipod) at 200yd on a quite windy/switchy day, and gets down to brass tacks with my 75gr HDY/23.5gr Varget AR Match loads. In the wind, with no effort to employ any wind skills, it held the 4 ring or better on the Odessa Club's FV-200 target at the proper distance. The scope is my by now ubiquitous Tasco 6-24x42 Varmint/Target Mil-Dot.
In all, it's a really pleasant surprise from a semi-sporter rifle and barrel. It accepted an eclectic array of AR magazines with no signs of distress. All Pro's, there are no Con's in sight.
