MOSSBERG MODEL 500 (turkey or deer)

Im wanting to buy my self a turkey shotgun and buy a slug rifled barrel also. I was looking for a cheap good mossberg and i hade been looking at the model 535 ats but then i was told to look at the model 500. So i need help deciding which is better or if they both suck, I am not looking for a awesome one but i am looking for a good one that will not have me problems.

I would think either one would suffice depending on what you are doing. Not much diff between the 2
