Looking for a little insight here.
I took the plunge on a Dillon 750XL with the intention of making 2022 the year I get decent with an AR. I have 10k rounds worth of components to last me from May to December. Not much by some standards, but for a guy that shoots an average of maybe 1500 .223 per year that's a big jump.
I don't want to burn ammo, but rather be as productive as possible. I dick around with a shot timer occasionally and use a laser cartridge for dry firing, but I've never really been in a position where I've been able to fire enough volume quickly to truly familiarize myself with the recoil impulse of the rifle. I'd like to be able to shoot faster with acceptable accuracy out to 100 yards.
What would you guys do? I've always been more of a precision shooter. This is new to me and I want to make the most of it. Primary rifle is a pinned 14.5 middy with a 1-6x Delta Stryker, if that matters to anyone. I've been googling and watching youtube vids to get a feel for what I should be doing but I figured I'd run it by you guys before committing.
