They don't show it but I'm pretty sure he's using a lighted magnifier between him and the work. You can see the ring of light in his eye.

I saw the Kiss concert in Phoenix last week and I thought they were the best I've ever seen them. Great stage show and one thing I noticed is not a single cuss word came out of their mouths. Lots of families with kids there. Marketing genuises. Fun for the whole family while still maintaing that hard Kiss sound and show.
I'd like a poster of this for my reloading room....

Yeah I wasn’t really looking forward to seeing them, but man I’m so glad I did. They put on a great show and the production was amazing. It seemed like every other song fireworks were going off. And you’re right it was the most family friendly show I’ve ever been to. Lots of kids there last night.
The first piece of music I ever owned was KISS Alive II on vinyl. KISS has seen their ups and downs musically but are still playing hard at around 70.
