the biggest bit of contention if i remember correctly is the original fraud allegation was brought about by 2 men
while educated etc, they are non believers in the holocaust
from the original findings some parts were of different hand writing style
yet some of the writing seems to have been time/period correct
more info might have come to the forefront but those were the facts last time i did a little research

B. It's the diary of a child
C. An estimated 100,000 Jews were murdered in The Netherlands.
D. Many Dutch people tried to smuggle Jews out, or protect them by hiding them.
E. The Dutch were especially merciless on collaborators after the war.
It's a story. How much stock are you going to put in the diary of a little girl anyway? Ann Frank was a real little girl who was in a Jewish family that was hidden by resistors, then found by Nazis, then sent to concentration camp and murdered. These facts are NOT in contention (except maybe by those claiming it is a literary fake), because of the NAZI RECORDS, not because of a diary.

From what I have read, and I have been wrong once before, much of it was written in ballpoint pen. Ballpoint pens were not in production and readily available until post-WW2. The first ones for sale in the US in 1945 went for 12.50. Which is about 175 bucks in todays money. Doubtful that a 12yo Dutch Jewish girl had a roller ball pen in Nazi controlled Holland. Im not a Holocaust denier. Anachronisms are problematic. Just saying, and again, Not a Holocaust denier, and I have been wrong once before.
Well, you're wrong. The holocaust deniers who initially made the claim the diary is a fake are also the ones who claim it's written in ball point pen. It was not. Some page numbers were added in ball point pen, and there are two notes attached to the diary that were written in ball point, the diary itself was written with a fountain pen.

I made the visit deliberately, in order to be in position to give first-hand evidence of these things if ever, in the future, there develops the tendency to charge these allegations merely to “propaganda.” - Dwight D. My Mother (89) is Dutch and lived through the Nazi occupation of Holland. Sundays were reserved for public executions against the church wall in the town square. In many cases, all it took was an accusation of something to be executed (red flag laws anyone?). In the final year of the war, food was so scarce that people starved. It was illegal to own or hoard food. It all belonged to the Germans. Anything left over was thrown into a giant soup pot and served to the people. This often included tulip bulbs, insects or anything else other than just dirty water.
She saw her neighbors hauled out into the street and shot for owning a radio, which they had hidden in their attic under dome floor boards. Somebody ratted them out.
Her father sustained a double hernia smuggling wood out of the park for the few of them to use to try and keep warm. All wood belonged to the Germans too and if you were caught with it, you were shot.
Anytime my Mother hears about holocaust deniers, she cries for those she saw die in front of her. Her family lived and was lucky in that they were devout Christians and well known in the city. She even has survivors guilt from then.
My Great Grandmother was in the Danish Resistance even before the war started. My Grandfather was the President of Vigo Meats in 1940 when the Nazis seized his company and made the Wehrmacht it's only customer. When the Nazi Colonel, who controlled all the companies they seized throughout the war, came to inform him of how his business model was going to change he brought my grandfather a gift of a lamp and claimed was made from the skin of Jews. My grandfather didn't believe him, and thought it was made from pig skin and was just an intimidation tactic.
