If you look closely at the pictures, the chamber flags have a piece of cord attached and I'm gonna guess that they are trained to snatch on the cord as they are running the charging handle (after inserting the loaded mag they have in the 'carrier' in the rifle mag well). The Izzies aren't big on leaving things like this to chance...I'm betting it's a well-practiced procedure! YMMV.They all have chamber flags in their weapons.
It would seem that an attacker with a bit of skill & intelligence who was able to get close could have a good chance to kill them before they could clear the flag and chamber a live round.
Start a fight with Popeye's employees and they will rip your clothes off and kick your ass.

Ever see a piece of metal strike a sheet of polycarbonate glass with such force that it created a spark?
A TIV (tornado interception vehicle), or "dominator", is a large truck or SUV, usually a military surplus piece which has been reinforced with additional weight, hydraulic anchors, and impact resistant glass and specifically built with the intention of being positioned in the path of violent storms. TIV's have been primarily a phenomenon with recreational or hobby storm chasers but the efforts and equipment that many builders of such vehicles have placed into their creations have proved to be essential in gathering information as well as video footage from the most dangerous locations within tornado producing thunderstorms, and to a lesser extent, hurricanes.
A TIV intercepts a strong E-F3/low E-F4 tornado and captures footage directly from it's core as it passes over the vehicle and it's occupants...
It looks like there is a guide on the forward assist and the cord is attached to the charging handle. It is attached to the charging handle. insert mag, run charging handle the chamber flag comes out as the round is chambered.
no never mind, it’s actually attached to the forward assist...so it’s a two step process.
that’s freaking terrifying...
we don’t get near the amount of Tornadoes here in Southeast Michigan as other areas in the US do, but the few that I’ve seen in person have chilled my blood...and they were just little guys.
My closest encounter was driving through a small water spout (tornado over the water) right before it touched down on my dads boat as a kid on Lake Erie...it was MUCH more violent than my dad expected it to be, not quite as fun for everybody as he intended.
Another touched down about a half mile from my house back in 2010, lifted back up and set down maybe 10 miles from me...it was a low class f3, it did a lot of damage in the town of Dundee...tore up the Cabela’s store, and ripped the roof off of the bar/restaurant my girlfriend (now wife) worked at back then. It was around a half mile wide in certain areas, but only a few dozen feet across in other areas.
Your cleared hot on that gun runTarget rich environment?
Does that violate the no pink rule?
