It also ignores that a lot of Republicans (and others) treat the Democrats like they're one entity when in reality there is an old and new guard and they have different allies and enemies within the media. Pelosi is caught up in this and I'd think even over her head. Trump at one point slapped down Pelosi trying to bring The Squad in line and in turn she's lost a lot of clout and control. I suspect that the amount of power Trump has cost her is one of the reasons she dislikes him at a seemingly personal level.
