You are so right. There used to be a bumper sticker here in Texas, back in the 70s, that read “queers and steers no place but Austin”. I live in Fredericksburg which is a German community 70 miles west of Austin. The old German that owned that hat lives in a house that has been passed down for generations. People like him scratch out a living. They do not like move-ins.
